Prof. Murtala Sabo Sagagi

Prof. Murtala Sabo Sagagi, born on the 10th of October 1968, is a seasoned professional with expertise in areas such as inclusive economic growth, private sector development, entrepreneurship, agribusiness, and strategic policy management. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, among other academic qualifications.

He is a member of several prestigious international and national professional bodies, including the Society for Global Business Economic Development (SGBED) and the Academy of Management of Nigeria.

With over three decades of experience, Prof. Sagagi has contributed significantly to academia, policy development, and consultancy. He served as the Pioneer Dean of the Dangote Business School at Bayero University and has held various advisory and leadership roles, including serving as an adviser on sustainable inclusive economic growth to the Field Support Service Project for Global Affairs Canada.

Prof. Sagagi's expertise extends to serving as a technical lead in various economic projects and policy developments, such as the National Agricultural Technology and Innovation Policy (NATIP). He has also contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship education and youth empowerment.

His professional experiences include roles such as Adviser for Sustainable Inclusive Economic Growth, Special Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Senior Policy Adviser at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development, and Director of the Centre for African Entrepreneurship Research and Training, among others.

Prof. Sagagi has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Fulbright Fellowship, USA Congressional Award, and OXONIA Award.

In addition to his professional engagements, he has been actively involved in capacity building through workshops, presentations, and international conferences, addressing various topics related to entrepreneurship, economic development, and investment opportunities.
