Departmental Directors

Rashida Jumoke Monguno
Director, Corporate Secretariat - Since 6/23/2023

Mrs. Rashida Monguno was formerly the Director of the Consumer Protection Department before her position as the Director of Corporate Secretariat. She joined the Central Bank as a Senior Supervisor in September, 1993.

Since joining the Bank, she has worked in the Trade & Exchange and Foreign Operations Departments until she was deployed to the then Secretary’s Department, now known as the Corporate Secretariat, in April 2002. She once headed the Board Affairs Division in charge of the meetings management, board support and monitoring parastatals offices in the secretariat. She also headed the Information Management Division and was responsible for the implementation of the Freedom of Information Act, 2011 and the Public Complaints Office. She served as secretary to several board and management standing committees in the Bank and was also the secretary of the Bank’s implementation committee for the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct (COBEC) and the Deputy Team Lead for the deployment for the committee of Departmental Directors and Governors Consultative Committee Portals and the diligent board book used for facilitating the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Bank.

She holds 2 degrees in Law from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Abuja.

Her hobbies include reading, listening to the news, watching documentaries, and engaging in community development.
