Dr. Omolara Duke
Director, Financial Markets - Since 11/24/2023

Dr. Omolara Omotunde Duke is the Director, Financial Markets Department, Central Bank of Nigeria with thirty-three-year experience as a seasoned economist.  She has worked extensively in a wide range of departments in the Bank with over twenty-three years in the Economic Policy Directorate. Prior to this time, she was the Director of Research Department. Hitherto to her appointment as Director, Research Department, she served as the Head of the Monetary Policy Committee  (MPC) Secretariat for 8 years where she oversaw the economic reports of the MPC and management of the Secretariat .

She has a first degree from the University of Ibadan, a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos, an M.Sc  in Economics from the ESUT Business School. and a Ph.D. with Distinction in Macroeconomics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

She had served on several National Committees and multilateral engagement as a representative of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She is a widely published author with Journal articles in reputable journals. Amongst her achievements is leading the first cross-country study on remittances for the Central Bank of Nigeria.

MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT:Mr. Graham William Keep was appointed the first and the only Expatriate Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, from January 27, 1959 to January 26, 1962.
