Operations Directorate
There are five departments under this directorate:- Banking Services Department
- Currency Operations and Brand Management Department
- Finance Department
- Information Technology Department
This directorate oversees standard business processes that ensure the smooth running of the Bank's activities and service delivery in an efficient and effective manner.

The department has the following mandate:
- To guide the Nigerian economy towards sustainable development by putting in place the required payments infrastructure and ensuring stability through liquidity management.

Currency Operations and Branch Management
The department has the following mandate:
- Issue Legal Tender Currency, Procure and Distribute Foreign Currency in Nigeria.
- Monitor Branch Operations & Service Delivery to Customers.
- Monitor & manage the reconciliation of Branch transactions.
- Consolidate Branch returns on behalf of business units (for management information purposes).
- Co-ordinate the resolution of issues between Head Office and Branches.
- Monitor Departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

The department has the following mandate:
- Enable and support the Bank's strategic objectives through effective financial management, sound accounting policies, and robust budgetary controls.
- Ensures the integrity of financial records, aligns financial planning and reporting systems, conducts financial analyses of projects and investments, and manages finance staff for high performance.

The department has the following mandate:
- Enable and support the Bank's strategic objectives by providing credible, reliable, and secure IT services. ITD is responsible for designing and implementing the Bank's IT strategy, maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, managing IT resources, and formulating and enforcing IT policies Bank-wide.
