CBN SENIOR OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
The grand finale of the CBN 47th edition of the “CBN Senior Open Tennis Championship” was held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Etoro Bassey made her championship debut and defeated the defending champion to win the trophy in the Women’s Singles Category. The duo of Ogunjobi Success and Mohammed Khadijat emerged winners in the Women’s Doubles category.
Nigeria’s number 1 tennis player, Abua Canice, justified his title by claiming the cup in the Men’s Singles category and partnering with Mohammed Musa to win the Men’s Doubles.
Usoh Andrea clinched the cup in the Women's wheelchair category while Alex Adewale won the Men’s wheelchair category. The event reaffirmed the Central Bank of Nigeria’s commitment to youth and sports development in Nigeria.
CBN JUNIOR TENNIS TOURNAMENT
The grand finale of the 19th edition of the "CBN Junior Tennis Tournament" was held at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Race Course, Lagos on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The high point of the tournament was the emergence of Mofi Atilola and Issah Yahaya as the most outstanding players of the tournament for the Under-14 Girls and Boys categories, respectively.

The grand finale of the 46th edition of the "CBN Senior Open Tennis Championship" was held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The event reaffirmed the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) commitment to youth empowerment through sports. Michael Emmanuel and Chicago-based Adesuwa Osabuohien emerged champions in the men’s and women’s singles categories, respectively, while Michael Chima and Ikechukwu Iloputa clinched the men’s doubles title. In the women’s doubles, Aina Goodnews and Favour Moses took top honours.
